Proposals for the landmark residential redevelopment of the current BBC Broadcasting House Campus in Llandaff, Cardiff, have been submitted for Reserved Matters planning. Soltys Brewster are pleased to be supporting the redevelopment proposals by Taylor Wimpey, working with Downs Merrifield Architects and Quad Consult. The practice is providing Landscape Design, Ecology and Arboricultural services in support of the Reserved Matters application, including the design of new parks and podium roof gardens as vibrant new open spaces, whilst retaining the majority of the high value trees which will provide a mature parkland setting and landscape legacy to the new development.
Soltys Brewster landscape and ecology teams are progressing survey and analysis work to gather baseline landscape and ecology information to support the allocation of a strategic housing site within Caerphilly County Borough Council. The greenfield site within the mid valleys strategic corridor would be a substantial settlement expansion, providing 2,400 new homes, a village centre and school within a substantial green infrastructure network.
Building on the practice's extensive expertise of solar development within England and Wales, Soltys Brewster Consulting have been appointed by Natural Power Ltd to provide Landscape and Visual Assessments (LVA) for solar farm developments within the Republic of Ireland. Professional services provided by the practice include site assessment, LVA reporting and illustrative photographs for sites within County Wexford and County Waterford.
